- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1¼ cups water
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 teaspoons salt

- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 oranges (juiced and zested)
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1½ tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ½ tablespoon cornstarch, mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In one bowl, mix seasoned flour: 1½ cups flour, garlic powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together batter ingredients: 1¼ cups flour, water, oil, salt, garlic powder, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Dredge cauliflower florets in the wet batter followed by the seasoned flour.
- Arrange on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- For the sauce, combine orange juice and zest, ketchup, sugar, and vinegar in a saucepan; simmer until thickened.
