  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced

Instructions

  1. Soak shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dredge shrimp in the seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Dip floured shrimp back into buttermilk then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry shrimp until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
  6. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the bang bang sauce.
  7. Assemble tacos by placing cabbage and fried shrimp on tortillas, drizzling with sauce, and adding avocado slices.
