  • 1 tablespoon milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 (190 grams) cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 3/4 cup (128 grams) miniature chocolate chips
  • 16 ounces (454 grams) semisweet chocolate, (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening
  • Decorative sprinkles, (if desired)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  2. Mix in milk and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, fine sea salt, and miniature chocolate chips. Gradually add this to the wet mixture and stir until incorporated.
  4. Shape portions of dough into heart forms on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt semisweet chocolate with coconut oil in the microwave until smooth.
  6. Dip each heart into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off before returning to the sheet.
