- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (to adjust consistency)
Instructions
- Prepare the ranch dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, parsley, salt, and pepper. Adjust consistency with milk as needed. Refrigerate until serving.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal (if using), garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
- Dip each mushroom slice in the egg mixture then coat with the flour mixture. Let rest for 5 minutes to help the coating stick.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
