- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 12 ounces linguine pasta
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to package directions in salted water. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper; cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic, paprika, and red pepper flakes for 1 minute.
- Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, and chicken broth (or reserved pasta water). Simmer gently.
- Add heavy cream and half of the parsley; cook for an additional 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet along with linguine and parmesan cheese. Toss everything together until well coated, adjusting sauce consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
- Garnish with remaining parsley and serve immediately.
