Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs sirloin or ribeye steak (cubed)
- 12 oz cheese tortellini
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tbsp fresh chives (chopped)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini in boiling salted water for about 3-5 minutes until tender. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
- Season steak bites with Cajun seasoning and spices. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from heat.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in red pepper flakes, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice.
- Add cooked tortellini and steak back to the skillet; toss with reserved pasta water and Parmesan cheese until creamy and well-coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and herbs.
