- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups coarsely crushed pretzels
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and Dijon mustard, and one with crushed pretzels.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in crushed pretzels.
- Place the breaded chicken on the prepared baking tray and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown (internal temperature should reach 74°C/165°F).
- While baking, heat half of the milk in a saucepan; stir in half of the cheddar until melted. Add remaining mustard and Worcestershire sauce, adjusting consistency with leftover milk.
- Serve hot chicken drizzled with mustard-cheddar sauce.
