Description

Soy Sauce Eggs – Marinated with Cola are a delightful fusion of sweet and savory flavors that elevate the classic marinated egg. Infused with a unique blend of soy sauce and cola, these eggs boast a beautiful amber hue and a luscious taste that makes them perfect for any occasion—whether as a snack, side dish, or topping for ramen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 jalapeño (diced)
  • ¼ onion (diced)
  • 1 green onion (diced)
  • 4 garlic cloves (diced)
  • ½ cup light soy sauce
  • ¾ cup cola
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Optional: 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs in a pot of water over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer boiled eggs to an ice bath to cool quickly.
  3. In a bowl, combine diced jalapeño, onion, green onion, garlic, soy sauce, and cola; mix well.
  4. Peel the cooled eggs and place them in the marinade ensuring they’re well-coated. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor.
  5. When ready to serve, sprinkle with sesame seeds and enjoy as desired.
